Community bonfire Fettercairn, Tallaght to be held at Drumcairn Ave/drive. The bonfire is organised by SDCC’s Parks, Environment and Estate Management departments in conjunction with Tallaght Gardai, Civil Defence and The Fettercairn Residents Committee.
At 2pm a fancy dress disco takes place at Fettercairn Community centre and up to 300 children are expected. As well as balloon makers and face painters, there will be goodie bags for all kids – all organised by the staff of Fettercairn Community Centre and local residents.
During the hours of 12.00 to 5.00, local residents are invited to donate wood for the bonfire. The bonfire is enclosed within barriers located near fire hydrants with permission to connect to them if required. Stewards are identifiable by high visibility jackets. The bonfire will be lit at 5.30p.m approx. Entertainment at the bonfire will be provided by drummers and tom, tom players.
31st October
Clondalkin Bonfire at Lett’s Field just off the Neilstown Road. Starts at 5:30pm till 7:30 / 8pm. Goodie bags will be given out on the night and there will be spot prizes for the best costumes also. Untreated wood for burning is accepted in the field from 2:30 on the 31st of October. Any wood such as laminate or that has been treated will not be accepted
